Speaking (or singing) God’s truth in a genuine, winsome manner that both convicts the listener and encourages them at the same time is a rarity. The Harwoods are not your typical TV musical family from the 70s or 80s. They share a unique testimony about God’s grace, mercy, and provision that needs to be heard by youth and adults. They captivate and inspire their audience, regardless of age. Our middle and high school students have said on the occasions the Harwoods have presented chapel that they were the most inspiring and meaningful programs of the year. They are accurate! I highly endorse them to minister to your program. Matthew 5:16.

My most recent position in the world of Christian music was in service to a large congregation as director and founder of the Rhythm & Hum Ensemble. The mission of this group was to train and raise up young singers, instrumentalists and dancers in the art of leading dynamic worship in a variety of musical styles and contexts. It was during this time that I attended a local concert by the Harwood family, and I recognized immediately that special quality in them that has so often inspired me in working with the youth in my own music ministry. Not only did they deliver an impressive and polished musical performance, but I was completely drawn in by their incredible story, their spiritual testimony, and the soundness and theological sophistication they shared in the introduction and meaning behind each lyric. Since that night, I have been abundantly blessed to have hosted the Harwood Family on several occasions, and to have partnered with them in leading worship along with members of Rhythm & Hum. I am overjoyed to now call them my friends, and I would highly recommend them to any audience seeking a unique encounter with some very special “hands, feet and voices” of Christ on this earth.
